Wasabi Defense update 01-17
My computer is back! As I already suspected, one of the RAM chips was having issues. It’s replaced and everything works again as it should. This also means I’m going back to work on Wasabi Defense. The last few days, I designed a few new sprites on a borrowed laptop, and here’s the result (at least, one of them).
A new base element has also been added, but I already made the sprite for that a while ago. This particular thing is a storage tank. The new sprite is the thing you see flying around. This is one of the new enemies, and it fires laser beams. As I mentioned before, you won’t see Star Wars type laser beams that fly like spears in this game, because that’s simply not what a laser beam does! I’m gonna try to make a full-length laser beam using the particle engine, something I have done before in Game Maker so I know more or less how it can be done. What will happen now is that the enemy flies around and stops in mid-air, after wich the laser gun starts charging itself, so you have a few seconds to get out of the way before it’s fired.
